Bread, Glorious Bread!
Being on the gluten-free diet, what is the food I long for most? BREAD, of course. I’ve tried making my own gluten free bread (disaster) and once in a while I’ll buy it at my favorite gluten free bakery (expensive), but more often than not, I just don’t eat bread. So, instead of having a soup/sandwich for lunch, I typically do soup/chips, soup/salad or salad/chips/fruit, some combination that ultimately fills me up. And I try not to think about bread!
Looking through this month’s Living Without, (‘The magazine for people with allergies and food sensitivities’), I saw an ad for “BREADY”, a Gluten-Free Bread Machine that claims to bake eight varieties of breads, cakes, and doughs (scrumptious picture of pizza and chocolate cake here!) This sounds like heaven.
Unfortunately, heaven comes at a price — $324.99 (plus shipping, I imagine). And then each bag of bread mix costs about $6.99. Now, I don’t know about you, but before I would ever splurge on such an invention, I’d like to try it out first, see how this bread tastes.
Likewise, I’d also like to hear other reviews about the “Bready”. Have any of you tried it out yet?

I wonder if these mixes work in a regular bread machine or if you have to use the Bready.

Yeah, that’s a good question. Hmmm…maybe I’ll try out my mother’s bread machine someday.
